The National Executive Board is next to the Governing Council.
Its functions include:
- running of the day-to-day affairs of the Association and maintaining the Secretariat.
- preparing programme of activities for the National Body for each year
- recruiting and disciplining staff of the STAN Secretariat;
- approving all financial transactions by officers, subject panels and National Subject Committees and authorizing payments accordingly; preparing and presenting annual budgets of the Association to the Governing Council for approval.
The National Executive Board consists of all National Officers of the Association, the immediate past President, the immediate past General Secretary, co-opted members representing institutions and the hosting branch of the immediate past Annual Conference, and the Executive Director. Members of the association may be co-opted when necessary for specific purposes.
